new job(s)

interesting thing happened today. when i woke up in the morning (well, more like lunch time) i checked my email. there was an email from the t-shirt design place. she wanted me (i understood) to make the company logo. not invent it, nothing new, just get what they had and put in on the comp. so i did, came up with this. tried to match the fonts as well as i could, came out pretty nice i thought.

well, in the later afternoon, i stopped by to see what was up and if they had gotten my design. they had and like it but she wanted to know if i could re-make the design. she wanted something more creative and "modern." i said sure and will keep you guys updated on that...

i was there talking to them when they mentioned a different kind of screen printing technique they called chromo-something or other. he then pulled out a t-shirt design a client wanted done (one that would use this other kind of technique) frankly, the design was horrendous. (once i get my scanner working i will scan the thing in and post it right here)the design was for a lan house called "game over." i said, "man, that is ugly. i could do something better with that." he then explained that if i could do something better than this and the client like my new design, the client could pay me for the design and not them. something around 20 bucks or something. nothing big. so i brought the paper home and i am working on it. its turning out, well, interesting. i can't get it down the way i want but we'll see. when i get a rough draft done i will put the image up here.
click to make is BIG.

well, thats all folks. God bless.

dang, that logo for that t-shirt design place is about the most uncreative piece of crap i've ever seen. it's no wonder they want u to redesign it. and the LAN house logo..... man, even i can copy and paste pics i find with google.... urs looks waaaay better. and i like the target in the middle of the back, very convenient. :P

i found it ironic. the target. i think i am going to recommend he goes without the target though, it steels the fronts thunder and makes things a little too crowded. but if he likes it, oh well. :P

yeah, the front of the lan shirt is awesome. but the back is not so much, with the words all over the place. i think u should get rid of the target and put the words there instead. in some cool way, like computer screen/mission briefing type thing.

humm, the words on the sleeves are basically just here to symbolize that i recognized what he wanted. they arn't going to look like that. the only text on the back is his name "michel"

just make sure that, if he keeps the target, it isnt that HEAT magnifying shirt stuff, that just makes you sweat- or else the shirt would be an inferno...

Cool stuff though man, its cool how you just pick up odd jobs... you got somthing good going.

Did you draw that soldier? it looks good. Drawing is my weakness

I find this blog interesting because I am also just 17 and i am into designing. I pick up random jobs here and there too but most of the time I like to do them for free.

i can't draw either. that soldier is the counter terrorist forces from counter-strike:source.

i hope you keep in up to date on my blog. i get warm fuzzes when people read it. :D
