Back on Beat.

ok, so i re-did everything. redoing things feeds a certain pet peeve, so it was a pain in butt. nonetheless, it's back to the first new draft stage. in my last post i talked about making it more cuiabano, well, i didn't. my idea was to add sao jeronimo and santo antonio in the skyline (if you have no idea what those are, you probably aren't from cuiaba.) this would probably include a long line that would go all the way around the shirt. tell me what you think. another idea that i had would have a black and white shirt. not black with white or visa-versa. let me demonstrate.

though this would probably call for two differant color cloths sown together. i don't know if they do this.

well, i re-did the front of the shirt. it should look oddly like the one a couple of post ago...

...i even took a step further and did the back.

now the "2007 - 2008" looks kinda awkward where it is. well, i think so. any ideas? maybe on the sleeves? that would be cool. feedback!

God bless.

i like the design idea but i gotta say i don't really like the black and white one... i don't know it just doesn't look right... maybe with different colors it would be better.

my thoughts:

1. i agree with Andrew, the black and white doesn't look that great. i dunno what it is, maybe because there isn't one prominent color? the white and black are equal, and the print doesn't look too good, so it takes away from the whole simplicity of the original design. or maybe if you put the black on top and white on the bottom it would look a little better, i dunno.

2. i definitely liked the black with white outline better. :)

3. the print on the back of the shirt needs some work. anyone who knows about CCA could tell what it says, but anyone else, probably could not. maybe that's the idea, i dunno. anyway, i don't think the words should be in the same outline style as the picture on the front. especially the years, 2008 looks like it could be 2006 or 2003. i don't know what you could do to make them interesting and legible and at the same time fit the style of the rest of the shirt.... so i'm not much use. :P
at first glance it looked like arabic or something, lol.

heyy...so i actually disagree with those two...i LOVED the black and white! But I guess you can always do different colors if that's what people want. I also really liked the way you did the statue of liberty and all that. very creative. but i am with diggy on the back...at first glance i thought it was arabic. lol. anyway u can change the font on that?

stranger/new acquaintance - "hey! whats thats say on the back of your shirt??"

you - "cuiaba christian academy. its was an awesome little MK school i went to. RIP, poor thing."

its good to have something at least slightly confusing on your shirt. then people can ask questions. also, its artistic. :D

the text on my "experimental" shirt was merely for...experimental purposes. i can change that.

"causes confusion" is definitely an artistic criterion in today's world. :p

what building did you end up using for Canada? i'm just wondering because i just realized it doesn't look like that lighthouse you mentioned in an earlier post.
what if you put the name of each building/monument underneath it's outline? you could put it in small print, so it wouldn't take away from the simplicity of the shirt. i dunno, just an idea that popped into my head.

the CN tower.

once again, you don't want complete clear explanation. where would the mystery be?

lol. thats kinda corny. :D

ok, but then you'll have to have a class on what buildings are on the shirt. all the kids know the name of the school, but i seriously doubt all the kids know the names and locations of the buildings on that shirt.

the knowledge will grow exponentially. they'll know sooner or later.

it'll grow exponentially, lol. yeah, i'm sure everyone will just sit around and quiz each other during recess. haha, that'd be pretty dorky... pretty funny though.
